I was very disturbed to learn on the radio this morning from past and present Walmart employees that Walmart actually penalizes your employees for being sick with a point system. Even doctor's notes are not a "Free Pass" for them. Walmart employees that have a number of sick days (Points), those Walmart employees go through a "decision conference" with their supervisor to either ternimate their employment or to keep them employed on a probation terms.
With our struggling economy these days and with the swine flu epidemic, this situation has been stressing out Walmart employees to be present at work sick and infected with swine flu. This will lead to infecting fellow employees and this will lead to infecting us as customers as well.
The only thing I did commend Walmart for doing was hiring seniors and those with disabilities.
Other than that, I hate staying in long lines just to save a dollar and Walmart has gotten so ghetto.
Now with this new information, I prefer to stay away from Walmart as a customer and recommend you all do the same.
